  • At the beginning of his The Mind of Jake Paul series, Shane acknowledges his tendency to be very forgiving and determined to help people. He makes it clear that he is going to be more critical and that he'll try to let go of his desire to fix people in this case, after receiving criticism for the TanaCon series, which people saw as biased.
  • The second episode of the series attracted criticism for the over-the-top creepy presentation in relation to the topic of sociopaths, with scary music, editing, and video clips being used. Shane addressed these concerns in the future episodes, admitting he just likes the horror style of editing and got carried away, and resolved to improve the presentation of the rest of the videos.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: Due to their extremely controversial content, Shane took down almost all the skits and music videos that made him famous in his early years on YouTube and abandoned the channel they were posted to, resulting in most of his skit-era videos only surviving through reuploads.
