• The Other Marty:
  • The film is famous for how Allen shot it twice. It originally starred Sam Shepard as Peter, Maureen O'Sullivan (Mia Farrow's real life mother) as Diane, and Charles Durning as Howard. After editing the film Allen decided to rewrite it, recast it, and reshoot it, basically subjecting the entire cast to The Other Marty. He has since stated in a 2014 interview that he would like to redo it again.
  • Even before the film being shot twice, Christopher Walken was cast as Peter and even shot a few scenes, but was determined not to be right for the role.
