• Deleted Scene:
  • Joyce — the teacher of Elaine's fitness class — in the opening scene talking to Elaine, Jerry, and Kramer.
  • George and Estelle in the hospital, where the female patient has been moved to the room next door after Estelle complained about her nakedness.
• First Appearance: Of Estelle Costanza.
• Throw It In!: Julia Louis-Dreyfus started Corpsing when Jason Alexander performed his monologue about his mother catching him masturbating and subsequently injuring her back. Rather than stop, Alexander remained in character and snapped "It's not funny, Elaine, she's in TRACTION!," which only made Louis-Dreyfus laugh harder. The entire scene remained unchanged in the final cut.
  • Also, the bit where George tosses the Tic-Tacs onto his mother's chest in the second hospital scene was an ad-lib on Jason Alexander's part, which apparently sent Estelle Harris into such debilitating hysterics that filming was halted for an entire half-hour until she stopped laughing.
• What Could Have Been: The scene where Jerry watches Tiny Toon Adventures and sings "The Wheels On The Bus" was supposed to be him watching Flipper and singing its' theme song, but they could not get the rights to the aformentioned song.
• Write What You Know: Kenny Kramer claimed that there actually was a contest in which Larry David and some friends of his took part, although he did not initially want to take part because he thought he could not win it. David won the contest.
