- Creator Backlash: Screenwriter Tom Holland (best known for Psycho II, Fright Night, and Child's Play) hates the finished film, and blames director Michael Winner, saying he didn't have a grasp of suspense, and that the cuts to the dialogue ruined the believability of the story and characters. He's shocked that anyone even remembers the film, and also says it played a huge role in him choosing to direct Fright Night himself.
