  • Scipio Smith has says on numerous occasions that Pyrrha is his favorite character, such that he started working on the fic before ever seeing a single episode of RWBY solely for the purposes of writing a fic in which she lived, which he had great difficulty in finding. Somewhat ironically, this was revealed in response to a comment on how Sunset Shimmer had taken over the narrative. Since that comment though Pyrrha has taken on more narrative focus.
  • The author has also made it clear that General James Ironwood is his favorite living member of the cast of RWBY. This perhaps explains why the good general is fairly consistently played as good, even if he does get knocked around a lot. This likely extends to the entirety of Atlas and explains the focus said kingdom gets in the story.
