** Scipio Smith has says on numerous occasions that Pyrrha is his favorite character, such that he started working on the fic before ever seeing a single episode of WebAnimation/{{RWBY}} solely for the purposes of writing a fic in which she lived, which he had great difficulty in finding. Somewhat ironically, this was revealed in response to a comment on how [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyEquestriaGirls Sunset Shimmer]] had taken over the narrative. Since that comment though Pyrrha has taken on more narrative focus.

** The author has also made it clear that General James Ironwood is his favorite living member of the cast of WebAnimation/{{RWBY}}. This perhaps explains why the good general is fairly consistently played as good, even if he does get knocked around a lot. This likely extends to the entirety of Atlas and explains the focus said kingdom gets in the story.
