• No Budget: Drag Race UK has a smaller budget than the US shows, with viewers noting that the prizes are lackluster in comparison; main challenge winners get a "Ru-Peter Badge" rather than any sort of cash prize, and the season winner gets a trip to LA to produce a webseries for World of Wonder. This is at least partly because the show airs on The BBC, which forbids commercials or any other kind of corporate sponsorship (a rule which also explains the lack of RuPaul's famously campy plugs). • Role-Ending Misdemeanor: It's been reported that one season 5 contestant, Crystal Lubrikant, was disqualified and entirely edited out of the show due to unspecified allegations unrelated to the contest itself. In the premiere, it was quickly noted by fans that despite some incredibly clever editing, at some points, particular when the ten advertised queens are standing in a row, a mysterious 11th pair of legs is visible.
