  • Deleted Scenes: After its premiere, Fellini and screenwriter Bernardino Zapponi chose to cut about 15 minutes of footage to tighten the pace and lighten the tone:
    • A longer version of the arrival in Rome, with a comical sequence inside a tram.
    • The arrival at "Casa Palletta" was shortened.
    • More dialogue between Fellini and college students in Villa Borghese.
    • The brothel sequences were trimmed.
    • A stand-up comedy performance at Teatrino della Barafonda.
    • The fashion show was trimmed.
    • Cameos by Marcello Mastroianni and Alberto Sordi in the Festa de Noantri sequence were cut.
  • Fake Nationality: Young Fellini is played by Peter Gonzales Falcon, a Mexican-American actor cast because of his uncanny resemblance to the director in his younger years.
