Trivia / Rayman Redemption

  • In Memoriam: The end credits feature a dedication to Rémi Gazel, the music composer of the original Rayman game, who passed away in 2019. There is also a hidden message dedicated to him that can be seen by entering the code "REMIGAZL" in the Cheat Menu.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • There was originally supposed to be a boss fight against the Treecutter Livingstone, a King Mook version of the Livingstone enemies piloting a giant wooden robot. After feeling that it diverted too far from the original game, it was cut in favour of bringing back the Moskito fight instead.
    • Darktoon was originally going to be turned into the Dark Chimera, hence why the latter's boss theme is a remix of Darktoon's own boss theme.
    • Rayman's SNES costume was originally supposed to be a recolour rather than a full on reference to the cancelled SNES prototype of Rayman 1.
    • Dark Legacy was supposed to have a boss fight against the Dark Magician from Ryemanni's previous fangame. It was cut due to the level being long enough as it was without a boss fight attached to the end of it.
    • Darkest Mr Dark went through several design changes and was originally called Mr Void. The common theme with these designs implies that the boss was originally going to be a Giant Hands of Doom type boss due to Bzzit being nowhere to be seen in any of the concept arts.
