• Promoted Fanboy: Former illustrator Stjepan Šejić had posted fan art of the characters long before he was even hired.
• Role-Ending Misdemeanor: Upchurch was let go from the comic in November 2014, after being arrested for beating his wife. It would have been bad enough no matter what the work was, but it's hard to get away with that when you're drawing a comic about ass-kicking women. Questions about how much Wiebe knew about this prior have, themselves, significantly overshadowed and poisoned the comic from this point forward, to the extent that this is likely in large part why Wiebe ended his involvement with it and handed the series off.
• Schedule Slip: Wiebe put the series on hold, following in part some of the negative reception of the third arc. It took a long time until new issues finally came out.
• Troubled Production: After Upchurch was fired, Šejić was only able to complete two issues due to illness, leading to only those two issues and a side-story special being published in the first half of 2015. The special's artist, Tess Fowler, then took over on an ongoing basis. The series entered into another hiatus after the end of the third arc in 2016, which also includes Tess Fowler being outright removed from the book.
