• Creator Backlash: While Nardwuar is evidently proud of pretty much everything he's ever put out, Dave Rowntree's hostile and intimidating behavior in Nard's interview with Blur came back to haunt Rowntree when he ran for public office in 2011. Rowntree attributed his actions to being addicted to cocaine at the time and said that he keeps a clip of the interview on his phone to discourage himself from relapsing. He issued a public apology to Nardwuar, which Nardwuar accepted. ^note  However, during his 20-hour marathon radio broadcast in 2017 in celebration of his 30th on-air anniversary, Nardwuar stated he doesn't entirely believe Rowntree and speculates that he keeps the clip on his phone to laugh at it.
