• What Could Have Been: According to Zede, one of the employees at Pathea, the conclusion of the Mama Tree questline was going to be different: Mort was originally supposed to die for real instead of the sleeping fake-out used in the final release, setting up a more bittersweet tone for the game's ending. However, they eventually decided against it, opting for a more happier overall conclusion for Sandrock and also not wanting to stir up the same kind of trouble they received for one of My Time at Portia's late-game elements, namely Ginger's death via illness.
