• Directed by Cast Member: Florence Stanley, who played Margaret Wilbur, also directed five episodes.
• "Do It Yourself" Theme Tune: Greg Evigan sang the thene song, "You Can Count On Me".
• Screwed by the Network: Originally, the first season of My Two Dads ran on Sunday nights alongside Family Ties, where it rated at #20, tied with The Hogan Family. Unfortunately, however, NBC later moved the show in its second season to Wednesdays, as they wanted to free up the Sunday night slot for Day by Day, which was co-created and co-executive produced by Family Ties creator and executive producer Gary David Goldberg. The show was later moved back to Sundays for the third season in the fall, but the ratings never recovered and the show was then moved to Mondays for the rest of the season where it ultimately languished and was cancelled.
