• Actor Allusion:
  • Rarity plays Luna, whom she shares a voice actor with.
  • Within the episode: In Fluttershy's animal play, Opal plays Luna and Angel Bunny plays Celestia. Later on in a different performance, Opal's owner Rarity plays Luna and Angel's owner Fluttershy plays Celestia.
• Fandom Nod: Fluttershy's play starts going wrong when Owlowiscious picks up Celestia Angel and drops him on the sun like he did to represent Luna Opal being banished to the moon. The idea of an alternate universe where Celestia was banished instead of Luna is a major source of Fanfic Fuel. This also seems to double as a nod to the idea that, when Nightmare Moon returned, she banished Celestia to the Sun.
