- Delayed Release Tie-In: The sequel, Crypt Challenge DX, was released before Meteo Chronicles even began development!
- Development Hell: The game has been in development since late 2019 with still not a fully playable version in sight.
- Dummied Out: Many things were removed in the 2.0 release such as the sealed weapons, many enemies, skills, and armor, and many more things. Though all have been replaced with new stuff.
- Moved to the Next Console: The 2.0 release and all future versions were made in RPG Maker MZ instead of RPG Maker MV.
