Trivia / King John

Go To

  • Dawson Casting: John, who died at 49, has often been played by older actors such as Leonard Rossiter, age 57, and Tom McCamus, age 60.
  • Enforced Method Acting: In the 90s, a theater company tried to recreate the production schedule as it was in Shakespeare's day, where instead of performing one play for an extended period of time, a theater would feature numerous plays in quick succession. This left the actors very little time to rehearse, especially since none of them were given the full script. Due to the play's obscurity, the actor playing Falconbridge had no clue who his character's father was, and his reaction upon The Reveal was genuine.
