• Release Date Change: The film was originally slated for release on 19 March 2020, but the COVID-19 Pandemic delayed it as cinemas closed and post-production had to be delayed. Even as Indonesian cinemas slowly reopened throughout 2021, the filmmakers opted to wait until pandemic restrictions were lifted enough for people to come out and watch their film. There were rumors that it would be released during Eid al-Fitr 2021, but producer Manoj Punjabi denied that it was the case. The film was eventually given a second release date of 24 February 2022, only to be delayed once more to 30 April 2022.
• Underage Casting: Tissa Biani (Nur) was 17 years old at the time of filming, even though KKN is normally conducted during a college student's third or fourth year. Unless she is outrageously talented and manages to skip several grades, Nur has to be at least 20 years old.
