• In Memoriam: The Van Halen III episode is spontaneously dedicated to Juno Lee, a young fan of guest D-Tension who passed away on the day of its recording.
• Milestone Celebration: The 50th episode is a redux review of Attila, the first album ever covered on the show.
• Promoted Fanboy: Guests include not just fellow local musicians or Zero Science alumni but also just self-professed fans of the show who don't fit into the aforementioned categories. The Think Tank episode even features Kylie Wilson, the creator of this very page.
• Real Life Writes the Plot: The "Chicago, Whitney Houston or Céline Dion" segment from Season 2 was put to rest simply because Patrick and his wife moved out of the apartment that had the aforementioned artists playing on the lobby speakers.
• What Could Have Been: Initially when looking for a Misfits album to cover, Lilz and Patrick were going to do American Psycho, until by Lilz' own admission they found it wasn't all that bad. Thus they set their sights on the much worse The Devil's Rain instead.
