  • Development Gag:
    • Several to early drafts of A New Hope:
      • Ogana Major is here a planet that replaces Utapau as the setting of “Crystal Crisis on Utapau”, a four-part cancelled episode of The Clone Wars. In the second draft of the script for the film, Ogana Major was the name of the planet eventually called Alderaan, replacing the name Utapau from the first draft.
      • Townowi is here a desert planet visited by the Jedi Ferroda and A’Sharad Hett during the Clone Wars. In the first draft of the script for the film, it was the name of the planet eventually called Tatooine.
      • Mace Windu’s Master, Chuiee Two Thorpe, is named after a character of the same name from the Journal of the Whills, Part I, George Lucas’s first proto-Star Wars work. In the Journal, Chuiee was the Padawan of Master Mace Windy.
      • Mention is made of a Ureallian Jedi Master who preceded Jor Aerith Katri on the Jedi Council. In the first rough draft of the film, Han Solo was a member of the alien Ureallian species.
    • Profiles are given to Ashla Chutu, Sendak, and Plun Kil, all of whom are cut characters or cut versions of characters from Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
    • The name Mina Podia, used here for the Seventh Sister, originates from an early draft of the script for Revenge of the Sith, where it belonged to a Jedi who would be killed in Order 66.
    • Haden Blackman reportedly developed a Female Cathar Jedi to fill the role of Qui-Gon Jinn’s first Padawan in The New Essential Guide to Episode I, but the book was cancelled and the character scrapped. Here, Feemor Sirrus’s profile mentions him having trained an “Unidentified Female Cathar” as a Padawan prior to Aubrie Wyn.
    • During the creation of Droids, Technology and the Force: A Clash of Phenomena, author Abel G. Peña had considered including an adventure seed that would have identified R5-D4, better known as ‘Skippy the Jedi Droid’ as a Shard occupying a Droid body. Here, R5-D4 is indeed simply the host to a Shard named Durindfire, a member of the Iron Knights.
