Trivia / Jack Benny

• Benny was originally cast to play Al Lewis in the film version of Neil Simon's The Sunshine Boys, but his advancing cancer forced him to withdraw from the project before shooting began. The role ended up going to Benny's close friend and contemporary George Burns instead.
