Trivia / Heroes of the New World

• Outdated by Canon: As One Piece and My Hero Academia are still ongoing and new information is released about the settings (moreso the former than the latter), some minor details are inaccurate to canon (such as Caribou being an established pirate when in canon it was revealed he only started his piratical career after Blackbeard made his big break) but overall the story is not adversely affected.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Zaru toyed with giving Izuku a Devil Fruit, but IKnowNothing was adamantly hostile to the idea, his reasoning being that it would make Izuku too over-powered, so it was dropped.
  • Zaru considered dropping Izuku in other areas and different times before settling on Onigashima two years before Luffy set off on his journey.
    • Izuku could have awoken on Cocoyashi and freed it before targeting various pirates until he was offered a warlord position due to his flight and influence.
    • Izuku would have ended up on Wano just in time to meet Ace and have to leave with the Spade Pirates.
  • Carina of One Piece Film: Gold was going to play a large role in the North Blue arc, but it was determined that other characters that were already introduced (Izuku, Uta, and Reiju) could do anything she could do better and so her part was cut.
