• Acting for Two: The hosts’ actors occasionally play other characters when their regular characters aren’t present. Arnie Niekamp plays himself and Can the Wizard, Matt Young plays Usidore and Pizza Skull, and all three hosts play a number of bit parts from time to time. The actors who play the hosts and several of the guests also play alternate universe versions of their normal characters.
• Ascended Fanon: Submitted content from the fans is often featured in the show, and some fan-submitted content is incorporated into the improvised canon of the podcast. Fanmade lyrics for the intro song and the advertising song have been played on the podcast, with the intro song lyrics (and later an additional verse written by a different fan) being sung by Glen Miller and Spants in the Vermillion Minotaur to cement their canon existence. A fan email also inspired the cowboy universe.
