• Channel Hop: The original cartoon aired on CITV but the revived show migrated to Nickelodeon.
• Fake Nationality: Since Nigel Planer was the only voice actor, any story set outside the British Isles would make him this. He received some praise overseas for his convincing accents, judging by the YouTube comments.
• God-Created Canon Foreigner: Any new characters that appear are this, due to Jamie Rix being involved with both cartoons.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes:
  • Good luck trying to find any of the original books from the 1990s before the series got a television adaptation. They've been out of print for years and are extremely hard to buy, unless you want a used copy from any online shopping site. The easiest option is buying the audiobooks from either Amazon or iTunes.
  • The TV series from the 2000s is impossible to buy on DVD. Fortunately, viewer uploads on YouTube allow many nostalgic fans to watch. The first 4 seasons from the CITV series can be found on DVD, however, but only in Australia.
