Trivia Tropes
- Blooper: When "White" Geri spins the board around, he knocks the box of discarded chess pieces off of the table and onto the ground. In the zoom out at the end of the short, the box and the chess pieces are not there. This is pointed out in the DVD Commentary by Jan himself, who assumes the animators simply forgot to add them.
- Write Who You Know: Geri was loosely based on Jan Pinkava's grandfather, himself a keen chess player.
