- Is Geri a lonely old man who has no one to play with but himself? A feisty old man entertaining himself? Or a senile old man with a legitimate split personality disorder?
- Based on his appearance as a cameo in Toy Story 2—is chess just a hobby of his? Or are toys a hobby of his? Possibly the former, as during his scene, there's a Freeze-Frame Bonus where he opens a drawer on his tool box that's full of chess pieces. There's also a subtle implication that he used his skills as a repairman to make the pieces himself.
