• Acting for Two: Marvin Miller does all the voices in the the theatrical cartoon shorts.
• Creator Backlash: According to Bill Scott, director Robert Cannon hated the famous scene where Gerald's father shoos away his son while he shaves and wanted it cut.
• Recursive Adaptation: It started out as a record player story written by Dr. Seuss, then a cartoon followed by sequels (none of which had any involvement with Seuss, but they were still written in rhyme), then became a picture book and then a tv series.
