Trivia / Fully Ramblomatic

  • Creator-Driven Successor: Following the firing of Nick Calandra as chief-in-editor of The Escapist by the site's corporate owners, Gamurs Group, Yahtzee decided to jump ship alongside most of the video crew and follow Nick onto Second Wind. He explained in an interview that his decision was prompted both by enjoying a good working relationship with Nick and by his previous experience of essentially having carried The Escapist website alone with Zero Punctuation for a couple of years prior to Nick's hiring and concluding, in his own words, "I'm Not Doing That Again." Due to Gamurs Group owning the rights to Zero Punctuation with the buyout of The Escapist, however (including certain elements of the IP such as Yahtzee's avatar and imps), the show had to be reworked under a different title and adjusted assets. Interestingly enough, "Fully Ramblomatic" had been the title Yahtzee originally released his two first proto-reviews under back in the day, before being hired by The Escapist, essentially bringing the whole thing full circle.
  • Promoted Fanboy: The theme music for the series was composed by independent composer James Elsey, who had been a fan of Zero Punctuation for years and was naturally excited to work on its successor.
  • What Could Have Been: There was going to be an episode on Marvel's Spider-Man 2, but it had to be indefinitely shelved for legal reasons after The Escapist publicly released the Zero Punctuation episode on it.
