- Actor-Inspired Element: Christy O'Donnell is a singer and guitarist in real life, which was implemented into Henri's characterisation and storyline. O'Donnell also has credits on the series' soundtrack.

- Fake Brit: Hiran Abeysekera is Sri Lankan playing a Londoner, although he did move to the UK to study at RADA.
- The Alvarez-Castillo family are English-Spanish (explaining why Max and Armando have Spanish names but English accents). Rory J. Saper and Rik Young are just English. Moreover, Reuben was adopted from Spain, while Manuel Pacific is Colombian.
- Jessica Lord is originally from Yorkshire and moved to Canada at a young age. Her character Lena is Russian, but it's implied she's lived most of her life outside of Russia, which would explain why she does not have a Russian accent.
- Eubha Akilade and Christy O'Donnell are Scottish in real life, but put on English accents in the show, and their characters (Ines le Breton and Henri Duquet) have French names.
