Trivia / Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!

Go To

  • Acting in the Dark: Haji (Rosie) wasn't told Rosie was in love with Varla from the start. She only found out when the time came to shoot the scene where Rosie looks on jealously as Varla and Kirk make out.
  • Actor-Inspired Element: Tura Satana trademarked her name and image, so that whenever Russ Meyer reissued the film or altered the poster he had to pay her for the rights to use her name and image.
  • The Cast Showoff: Tura Satana's skills in karate and aikido are used to good effect to show just how badass Varla is.
  • Completely Different Title:
    • The hysterical German title Die Satansweiber von Tittfield, which translates into The Satanic Wives From Tit Country.
    • The Greek title, Oi agriogates, means The Wild Cats.
  • Enforced Method Acting: Susan Bernard (Linda) really thought Tura Satana (Varla) was frightening, partly because Satana bullied her between takes to get more genuine reactions out of her, and this aided her performance as Varla's kidnapping victim.
  • Shrug of God: The movie is popularly viewed by critics such as Roger Ebert as having feminist subtext. However, Russ Meyer himself liked to deny any deeper meaning, quipping "I don't care to comment about what might be inside a lady's head. Hopefully it's my dick."
  • Working Title: The Leather Girls and The Mankillers.
