• What Could Have Been: As seen in an animatic on the Volume #10 DVD, this episode played out differently.
  • Instead of stealing Brian's thunder by doing The Peanut Butter Jellytime song and dance from The Courtship of Stewie's Father, Stewie screws with him by placing a pie on the floor when he trips over a bump. This would be a Brick Joke later on when he receives Stewie's letter from the Vatican man.
  • Rather than the Victoria Secret Model that Brian said he had sex with, Brian baits Stewie to use his time machine by fabricating a story of how he urinated in a potted plant at the local library.
  • When trying to make up a desperate lie to Brian when he catches Stewie in the act, he claims that he's going to try to stop the murder of President McKinley.
  • When Stewie and Brian are outside the space-time continuum, rather than a giant promo for The Cleveland Show, Brian tries to set up a cutaway about him attending a 16th birthday for an Arabian, but no cutaway appears. This would appear as a fully-animated Deleted Scene on the DVD
  • The Heart and Soul song was not included in the Animatic.
  • When Stewie tries to tell Brian about how both of them retroactively created the Big Bang Theory, Brian assumes he's talking about the sitcom.
  • In the animatic during the Farmer's Market scene, Lois gets distracted by a preschooler's mother named Louise, giving Stewie time to buy plutonium for his return pad and they would talk about how their names sound similar. This became a Deleted Scene.
  • When sneaking into Stewie's room, instead of Stewie immediately waking up, Bertram gets distracted by the toy lawnmower he uses to keep Stewie distracted in the episode.
  • In the animatic, Stewie and Brian find out that Da Vinci is Stewie's ancestor when Da Vinci has a chat with an Italian man about getting Michelangelo Buonarroti a job painting the Sistine Chapel and saying that he made him paint naked males (similar to Stewie's gay tendencies). This became a Deleted Scene.
  • The battle between Stewie and Bertram was saved for later after focusing on Brian and Stewie socializing with Da Vinci and the fight was also played out much longer and differently.
