Trivia / F/X: The Series

• Actor-Shared Background: Like Bryan Brown before him, lead actor Cameron Daddo is of Australian background.
• Billing Displacement: The U.S. DVD cover for the first season◊ puts Carrie-Anne Moss, who plays supporting character Lucille Scott (who only intermittently appears throughout the season) front-and-center. It makes sense from a marketing standpoint, since she's the most recognizable face thanks to The Matrix, but it makes lead actor Cameron Daddo look like a supporting character in his own show (while completely relegating other notable character actors, like Kevin Dobson or Richard Waugh, to the back cover). The second season DVD mostly fixed this issue, with Daddo front-and-center and more characters from the cast being integrated into the cover art (including Moss, again, who only shows up for a single episode in the season).
• California Doubling: The show is filmed in Toronto, but is ostensibly set in New York. Each episode ends with a camera shot of a two-story advertisement for The Phantom of the Opera, which was playing (and still is) in New York.
