Trivia / Eve: The Awakening

Go To

  • Quietly Cancelled: About five years after Eve's release, Moreci had publications of the book put to a halt. It wouldn't be until about three years after that that she'd explain in one of her vlogs the main reason as to why: personal issues made it hard for her to want to write any sequels. Until that video, there was no official word to go on as to whether or not she'd continue working on the series; fans could only guess based on how she stopped discussing the book or promoting it.
  • Stillborn Franchise: Eve: The Awakening was intended to be the first book in a series; it ends with a few unresolved plot threads that could have been explored in followup novels, it's listed as a first installment on Goodreads, and Moreci talked about potentially writing a sequel when the book was first published. In her "My Book Was Pirated on Amazon" video, Moreci explains that she had Eve unlisted from publication and distribution due to events in her personal life that made working on a potential sequel difficult, among other reasons. She is also uncertain if she'll ever return to the series.
