• The Danza: Out of the main cast, Rachel. Amongst one-shot characters there's also Stefani and Alejandro.
• Doing It for the Art: Most of the cast have moved away to Hollywood but they still find the time to fly back to New Mexico and shoot multiple episodes during single weekends because they enjoy working on the show.
• Irony as She Is Cast: Joe Conway, who plays perennial whipping boy and tough guy wannabe Todd Woodland, is really a Kenpo master and owns the real-life dojo that the show shoots in.
• Playing Against Type: Keith Jardine, an MMA fighter who's gone on to play tough guy roles in movies, makes a guest appearance as a soft-spoken man who's desperately looking for Robert the Bruce (Robby B for short), his lost pug puppy with IBS and a lazy eye.
• Real Life Writes the Plot: Despite the show's popularity, Matt Page has been unable to increase the episode count because most of the cast have moved to Hollywood to further their acting careers. Production for full episodes can only move forward on the occasional weekends when the entire cast is free to fly back to New Mexico to shoot several at once. Page makes up for this by putting out satirical advice videos where Master Ken "corrects" other martial arts experts' flawed techniques.
