Trivia / DuckTales (2017) S3 E20 "The Lost Cargo of Kit Cloudkicker!"

• Screwed by the Lawyers: Baloo is never seen in person, though he's referred to briefly and appears in the Higher for Hire logo; this is likely due to him technically being based on a character that belongs to the estate of Rudyard Kipling; the earlier legal battles Disney had during TaleSpin's run (albeit involving Louie, who is also absent) probably also played a part. As for The Wuzzles, their show was half-owned by Hasbro (due to Hasbro and Disney both working on ideas involving mixed-up animals and agreeing to work together to create one show) and it's likely that played a part in their altered appearances.
• Word of God states that they actually had the rights to use Baloo, but opted not to include him because the story they'd chosen didn't provide them a means by which to connect Baloo to one of the main characters' development the way Kit is connected to Dewey's story. There were plans to reveal what happened to Baloo in a future episode, but that never materialized following the show's cancellation.
