These include Brigitte Lin (Jia Baoyu), Sylvia Chang (Lin Daiyu), Michelle Yim (Xue Baochai)^note Coincidentally, Yim also played the same role in another TV series adaptation of the novel in that same year, Hu Jin (Wang Xifeng), Deborah Lee (Zijuan; to younger audiences, she's best known as the ex-wife of HK actor Patrick Tse, and mother of Nicholas Tse), and Kara Wai (Sheyue).
