Trivia / Disembodied Hitman

Go To

  • Actor-Inspired Element:
    • Bobby Calloway recommended Thomas Fitzgerald, Adam Douglas, Evelyn Guttridge, Michele McNally and Amy Scott for their roles.
    • Each actor picked their character's name based off which letter in the title their number corresponded to. The 'Disembodied Hitman' title is an anagram for all the victims' names.
  • Christmas Rushed: The whole thing had to be written, filmed and edited within a month.
  • Directed by Cast Member: Dean Houlihan also plays Warner Sampson.
  • Enforced Method Acting:
    • Bobby Calloway says that the cold chains, and being half-naked, allowed him to look convincingly uncomfortable.
    • Evelyn Guttridge did this to look tired and breathless.
  • Production Posse:
    • Ce'Nedra Cullen O'Brien had appeared in Dean Houlihan's previous film Odyssey of the Disturbed.
    • Dean Houlihan would likewise direct Bobby Calloway, Harley Cubberley, Dana Lee Al Qattan, Thomas Fitzgerald and Greg Young in Book of Shadows.
  • Real-Life Relative: Dean Houlihan's father plays the 'Weird Waving Man' at the end.
  • Real Life Writes the Plot: The first shot of the chainsaw had to be filmed at sunrise to avoid disturbing the neighbors with the noise.
  • Serendipity Writes the Plot: The film's plot and title came about because of the Deadly Numbers contest; each entry had to be based around a number between one and twenty. Dean Houlihan got seventeen obviously.
  • Throw It In!: When Michele McNally was filming her part, she ad-libbed reacting to something off camera. Dean Houlihan loved it and inserted a sound effect.
  • Tuckerization:
    • Warner is named after Marilyn Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner.
    • Adam Douglas named his character Bobby, after Bobby Calloway, who got him the part.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Sheenah Shannon and Hannah Grace, of the Paddy & Johnny music duo, were originally supposed to play two of the victims - but were too busy with other commitments.
    • The scene at the end with the 'Weird Waving Man' was added in later to give some comic relief and show Warner being made uneasy by someone else in a role reversal.
  • You Look Familiar: Greg Young (Darrell) and Dana Lee Al Qattan (Ezra) appeared in the segment 7 Days (2021), which features as the seventh film in the Deadly Numbers anthology.
