• What Could Have Been:
  • Tsubasa was originally planned to be older than Miki and Akira.
  • Vlava was originally going to be something of a Mini-Boss, presumably an enemy Miki and Amon would fight before Satan, but Rui wound up cutting him down to a one panel appearance.
  • Atrocious was originally going to have a significantly more catlike body, Rui thought that the design would look cool looming in the background but found that it wouldn’t really work for the action scenes so he decided to stick to the humanoid design of the anime.
  • Ryo Utsugi was originally going to be introduced as a villain and would have been based off of his appearance in Devilman Lady. He was ultimately changed into being the leader of the Devilman Corps, and modeled after his appearance in Demon Lord Dante.
