• Creator's Oddball: The fic was a collaboration between ABagOVicodin and Bronystories, the latter of which is known by some for dark and much more overtly sexual fics, like The 120 Days Of Blueblood. Particularly notable is the fact that Bronystories is the one who convinced Vicodin to drop the planned sexual elements of the fic in order to focus on the drama.
• Outdated by Canon: The plot is centered around Rainbow Dash's widower father getting a new girlfriend, and Rainbow's reaction to the event. After the fanfic's completion, "Parental Glideance" revealed that Rainbow's mother is still alive.
