- What Could Have Been: The novel's very concepts originated as plans for Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The series' (initial) cancellation meant the story couldn't be told in its intended form. On the plus side, they decided to tell the story in another medium rather than throw it away entirely, but one must wonder what the animated version would have been like.
