• Genius Bonus: According to the spoof scientific report on the back of the LP sleeve, the fossil of the eponymous Cultosaurus Erectus was found in the Stalk Forest. The Stalk-Forest Group is one of the previous band names used by the Blue Oyster Cult.
• Screwed by the Lawyers: The excerpt from Deep Purple's Smoke on The Water, used in The Marshall Plan to Lamp Shade Johnny's lack of originality in his quest to become a big rock star, is absent from the video release version. Apparently this is because DP's lawyers demanded a royalty for use of the iconic theme.
