- Ascended Fan Nickname: During crusades, it's possible to encounter a moth NPC that can increase the loyalty of any one follower. This moth was initially left unnamed, but a comment beneath one Reddit post gave her the name "Monch", and it caught on until it eventually became the moth's canon name.
- Promoted Fanboy:
- Jan F. Sorrentino, the lead artist and animator behind the Mashed Cult of the Lamb animated short Doom & Shroom, was noticed and eventually hired by Massive Monster to produce official animated shorts to accompany major updates to the game (Leshy's Kitchen Nightmare for Relics of the Old Faith, Fashion & Flesh for Sins of the Flesh), as well as this image promoting their 2023 Steam Summer Sale.
- In early October 2023, a notable artist by the name of Cosmica had compiled a collection of community letters and sent them over to the folks at Massive Monster. The team had been so moved that it was decided to include her persona (a starfish with a purple bow) in the official Fashion & Flesh short.
- Trolling Creator:
- In the wake of the backlash to Unity introducing a per-install runtime fee starting from January 1, 2024, Massive Monster announced via the game's X account that they would be "deleting" the game from digital storefronts by that date; however, they clarified a day later that said "deletion" announcement was satirical (by reposting fanart of the game's titular lamb kissing Red from Angry Birds, of all things).
- The X Account announced that they would add sex into the game if the account hit 300k followers. Cue the next update, "Sins of the Flesh", which allows the followers to have sex and make babies.
- Word of God: The ages of the Bishops, from oldest to youngest, are: Shamura, Kallamar, Narinder, Heket, and Leshy.
