Trivia / Castlevania: Curse of Darkness

  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Unlike Lament of Innocence which got a PS3 store release, this game game didn't and to this day still hasn't gotten a re-release.
  • Pre-Order Bonus: In Japan, those who preordered the PS2 version of game received a bonus promotional CD titled Demon Castle Dracula: Curse of Darkness -Prelude to Revenge-. The disc was a soundtrack sampler that contained four tracks from the game, while the booklet was a short comic that served as a prequel to the game. Illustrated and authored by Ayami Kojima herself, the comic chronicles Hector's defection of Dracula, Isaac's defeat and his descent into madness, Hector falling in love and losing Rosaly, and Trevor Belmont's concerns that Dracula's power still remains after his death. Preordering the game in the US and Europe for either the PS2 or XBox included a different soundtrack sampler with 17 songs on it.
  • What Could Have Been: The official manga was intended to last more than two volumes, but was discontinued for unspecified reasons. Cover art for the unreleased third volume was released that featured Trevor Belmont, suggesting that he was intended to play a major part in the following chapters had the story continued.
