- Early Draft Tie-In: "Signal in the Sky" is about The Powerpuff Girls being called by a Bat Signal, which they only had in the pilot and first episode, and every time after that the mayor called them with a hotline. The signal would later come back in the show for a musical montage that uses the same song.
- Keep Circulating the Tapes: Though Boomerang sometimes aired them into the 2010s, Cartoon Network hasn't aired the shorts since the mid-2000s. Most of the cartoons don't even rerun on any versions of Cartoon Network anymore. The fact that Boomerang has stopped airing them, as of 2015, only rubs more salt to the wound.
