• The Other Darrin: Wendy is played by Heather Menzies in the first film, and Connie Sellecca in Death Too Soon.
• Playing Against Type: Reb Brown, who is known for playing loud, brash action heroes, is cast as a very mellow, hippie-ish incarnation of Captain America.
• Serendipity Writes the Plot: According to Reb Brown, the producers originally wanted Cap's costume to have the traditional cowl but the California Highway Patrol wouldn't let them shoot motorcycle stunts on the highway if the participants weren't wearing helmets. Rather than have Cap constantly switching, they made the helmet part of the costume.
