Trivia / Blackadder S 2 E 1 Bells

• Actor-Inspired Element: Flashheart's bizarre attire was designed by Rik Mayall himself. The rest of the cast had never seen it prior to his entrance in the wedding scene and were falling about in fits of laughter while Mayall was being filmed.
• Out of Order: This was meant to be the second episode of the season, but because of Rik Mayall's scene-stealing cameo, it became the opener.
• Serendipity Writes the Plot: Blackadder's amusing and much-imitated pronunciation of "Bob" is a result of Rowan Atkinson's stutter. He has special difficulty with the letter "b".
• Wag the Director: John Lloyd has said that Rik Mayall virtually rewrote his part to feature "loads of jokes", which annoyed the writers.
• You Look Familiar: The Wise Woman was played by Barbara Miller, who had previously played one of the three witches in "The Foretelling".
