Trivia / Anger Management (2012)

Go To

  • Five-Year Plan: The producers of the show offered FX a 10-90 production plan in which 90 episodes were ordered after the show proved itself during the first ten episodes.
  • The Danza:
  • Meta Casting: The series is overflowing with references to Charlie Sheen's sometimes bizarre past behavior while under the influence of narcotics.
  • Real-Life Relative:
    • Charlie's dad is played by his real-life dad, Martin Sheen, who joined the cast as a show of support to his son in the wake of Charlie's public breakdown.
    • Michael Arden and Andy Mientus (Patrick and Andy) are a real-life couple as well as onscreen.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: "Anger Management", despite making 100 episodes fast to be disturbed to local stations, stopped airing in broadcast syndication in 2018. The sitcom also no longer reruns on FX. The series was released on DVD, but due to being so many episodes only over 2 seasons, it was released in volumes, and they stopped releasing it at vol 3 in 2014, only going up to episode 56. This leaves the remaining episodes never released on DVD. Amazon Prime has episodes you can buy but that even seems choppy, as they seemed to have spilt up the episode count into 5 seasons, making the episode count available confusing. Good luck figuring out if you saw the whole series or not, or figuring out how to get the whole series anywhere. A complete series release on DVD or blu ray seems unlikely.
    • Averted in the UK as the entire series (including the remaining 44 episodes that never got a DVD release) are available to stream on Channel 4's streaming service All 4.
