• Deleted Scene: In the original script, the scene in which Angel finds Tina's dead body ends with him cradling her, then licking her blood from his fingers. Although Joss Whedon claims that moment was the point of the episode, as it shows how Angel is struggling in his goal of redemption, it was ultimately cut. "It was dark enough that he didn't save this girl," says Tim Minear. "I don’t think you needed him licking her dead body."
• Hey, It's That Place!: The building used as Russell Winters Enterprises is the same building later used as the Wolfram & Hart building.
• What Could Have Been: Since doing research in the library to discover the monster of the week was such an important facet of their parent series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the production decided to have Angel do research via computers in the public library late at night. They shot tonnes of footage for this to be spliced into later episodes. However, they only used the footage for this episode and this episode alone, meaning the bulk of it went unused.
