  • Better Export for You:
    • The UK release of The Spell (renamed The Beat Is) added "Til I Get Round" to the tracklist.
    • When "This Is Alphabeat" was released in Denmark it got a special 2CD edition with a bonus disc, including an otherwise unreleased track called "The Message".
  • Follow the Leader: Their UK label initially positioned them towards a similar audience to Mika, using the same genre term, "Wonky Pop", to describe them.
  • Recursive Import: "This Is Alphabeat", created for the international market, did end up supplanting the original in Denmark.
  • Remade for the Export: Their debut international album "This Is Alphabeat" has some overlap with their Danish debut "Alphabeat", but is largely quite different. "Into The Jungle", "Ocean Blue" and "The Hours" were replaced by "Go Go", "Touch Me Touching You" and "Public Image" respectively. "Boyfriend", "Rubber Boots" and "Nothing But My Baby" were rerecorded, with "Rubber Boots" being shorn of its "Mackintosh" coda. Meanwhile, "What Is Happening?" was edited down by a minute. The only songs identical on both versions are the main singles "Fantastic Six", "Fascination" and "10'000 Nights".
