- Follow the Leader: It's hard not to see the similarities to the infamous and more successful God's Not Dead, which premiered seven months before A Matter of Faith, since both films are religiously motivated and feature a debate between the religious and non-religious side (though it should be noted that, contrary to how A Matter of Faith portrays the issue, plenty of Christians around the world have no problem believing in both God and evolution).
