Trivia / A Fistful Of Frickley

Go To

  • Acting for Two: Luke Ashley Nicholls, who most prominently plays Louis Nickletooth, also plays the Narrator and Madge in voice only roles. He's also the director of the film itself.
  • The Danza: A subtle example, in that a lot of the character share the initials of their characters. Jake Cutts plays Jack (we never learn his actual second name), Aaron Palmer plays Aldo Pocatello (though he mostly goes by nickname Saddle Sores), Joseph Simister plays Jed Stunker, and Luke Nicholls plays Louis Nickletooth.
  • Fake American: The entire cast. (with the exception of David Koechner)
  • Playing Against Type: Jake Cutts, Aaron Palmer, and Joseph Simister had starred together in Black Shadow, where Cutts played the bad guy, and Palmer and Simister played the two heroes. This was the reason they were specifically cast in the exact opposite roles in Frickley.
  • No Budget: Very much so.
  • Real Life Writes the Plot: On day one of shooting, the crew forgot Bunnykiller's beard, and so had to shoot the film out of order. This is why Bunnykiller's beard suddenly just departs the film at a certain point. Quick thinking and improvisation though made something out of this, and turned it into a brick joke for later in the film.
  • Writing by the Seat of Your Pants: The film is almost entirely improvised, with only a general plot outline being thought up prior to filming. The credits don't even specify a writer, and only says 'Improvised by' before listing the whole cast.
